Creative Challenge      March

Paint Something You Love

For our March challenge paint, draw, create something you love. Look for the beauty and character in the simple things around you. Books, pillows, sports equipment, yoga mat, a candles, cozy fireplace, a beach house, a clock, blankets, pillows, cologne, coffee mugs, a bowl, a purse, a wallet, your house, your spouse, your grandchild, art supplies, favorite food, dessert, favorite color, etc.  You get the idea. This can be a person, place, or thing, something that makes you happy. Your work will demonstrate interest or pleasure.

This idea comes from the article in Artists Magazine March 2018 issue pg.62 – 69. You can see the work of still life painters Roberto Bernardi, Samuel Hung, and Robert Jackson. I will place a copy in our library if you’d like to check it out.

Bring your original piece to the March 15th General Meeting. It can be paper or canvas, matted and framed or not. It should be accomplished between February 15th and March 15th.

February 27th Tuesday evening 6:30 to 8:30 Watercolor Class with George Fulk for 6 weeks.  Sign up now class is limited to 15.
