Class Description: We will spend the day creating 2 paintings done in alcohol inks. It's a challenging medium but mistakes can be easily corrected, and people invariably have fun with their creations. The first hour will be spent exploring the capabilities of the inks by practicing several techniques using brushes and straws. Then the first of two paintings will be created with a loose approach using primarily straws to create blown art. The second painting will be a bit tighter and more realistic, using primarily brushes.
Come play and experiment with a new fascinating medium.
My experience with alcohol inks is only about a year long. I've spent numerous hours working to achieve specific looks and have succeeded in creating both loose and realistic paintings. The vivid colors of the inks make for attractive, exciting paintings that draw a great deal of attention.
