This workshop is open to all level of artists, beginning to advanced. Patricia will have a short demonstration each morning, describing the pastels and papers she prefers, and showing the stages of creating a pastel painting. She works with hard and soft pastels, on sanded papers. We will be painting simple subjects, fruit on day one, and flowers on day two. The goal is to learn how to build up layers from darkest darks to lightest lights. There will be lots of one-on-one instruction throughout the day. Some supplies will be provided, and some will be available for sale. Please email Patricia for a full supply list at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let her know what kinds of pastels you already have. If you don’t own any pastels, good starter sets are available online, and she will help you decide what to purchase. She will have sanded pastel paper available for sale (at cost) by the sheet at the workshop.
